Apostles’ Creed for Children

We believe in God, the Daddy who is in control of everything,
maker of the blue sky above and the green grass and dirt;

And in Jesus, his special child, our Big Brother
who God brought to the earth by His Power and Strength,
making the Virgin Mary his mommy;
a mean ruler near where Jesus lived let Jesus suffer,
they nailed him to a big tree, killed him, and put him inside a rock;
but only three days later Jesus woke up and wasn’t dead anymore;
then he started flying back into the blue sky from where he came,
and sat down beside God, the Daddy who is in control of everything;
and Jesus will come back to the earth to see how good or bad everyone has been.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by Daddy when Jesus went back into the sky; so all of us together make up one big group of people,
who love each other because God has changed us,
and we have been forgiven of all the bad things we’ve done,
so that when we die we will be brought back to life like Jesus,
plus we get to live forever! Amen.
